102-24 85th Drive, Queens, NY 11418

Located in Richmond Hill, 102-24 85th Drive is a 4-story, 16-unit New Law tenement building constructed in 1931, currently owned by Tom Sideris. The building has experienced several maintenance issues over the years, with the most significant cluster of problems occurring between October 2020 and January 2021, when multiple complaints were filed regarding plumbing (including toilet and sink issues), paint/plaster work (ceilings and walls), water leaks, windows, electrical lighting, and general cabinet problems.

While these complaints were addressed and closed by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development, it's worth noting that no violations were issued during the inspections. The building has a documented history of safety-related violations, including those involving illegal locking mechanisms on fire passage doors and roof bulkhead doors between 2018 and 2020, which were all subsequently resolved.
