The three-story, two-family house at 119-11 Metropolitan Avenue in Kew Gardens, built in 1931 and owned by Robert Czerniecki, has experienced several notable events over the past five years (2020-2025). Most recently, in May 2025, the building is currently under investigation by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) for potential food establishment violations related to dishwashing and utensils, with official written notification sent to the owner.

Prior health department interactions include a 2024 smoking/vaping violation investigation and multiple food safety concerns between 2019-2020 involving foreign objects in food, bare hands contact with food, and letter grading issues, all of which were addressed and closed.
