The three-story, three-unit residential building at 11-45 Nameoke Street in Far Rockaway, owned by Sara Mierov, has presented several maintenance challenges since its construction in 2005. The most significant recent issues occurred in 2022, with multiple emergency complaints and violations, including serious concerns about scalding hot water exceeding 130 degrees in the ground floor apartment, defective thermostats, and various plumbing problems including water leaks with heavy flow and slow leakage.

During late 2022, there were numerous complaints across multiple units involving heating issues, electrical problems, door and window concerns, flooring issues, unsanitary conditions related to mold, and cabinet problems.
