The two-family house at 306 St. Marks Place in St. George, owned by Wai Fong Chong, has experienced several significant maintenance issues, particularly affecting the second-floor apartment (Apartment 2).

The most notable cluster of problems occurred in early 2022, when multiple complaints were filed and subsequently investigated by the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD).
