Downloading and sharing a PDF building report

Category: Reports & Data
Read time: 4 minutes

The web report gives you everything on screen — but sometimes you need a file you can save, email to a roommate, or attach to a lease negotiation thread with your landlord.

PDF reports are available on any paid plan — credit unlocks, Report Bundle, Apartment Hunter, Renter subscription, or Business plan.

Who can download PDFs

Plan PDF download available?
Free (guest or account) No
Report Bundle (1 credit used) Yes — for that building
Apartment Hunter (1 credit used) Yes — for that building
Renter plan Yes — for any premium report
Business plan Yes — for any premium report

One credit unlocks a building's premium report for 30 days, including PDF download access.

How to download

  1. Open the building report page
  2. In the hero card (top of page), click the Download PDF button
  3. The PDF opens in a new tab — save it to your device or share it directly

The PDF is generated server-side from the same data shown in the premium report. It includes no watermarks or branding — just the data and analysis.

What's in the PDF vs. the web view

Feature Web view PDF
Risk score & forecast ✓ Interactive ring chart ✓ Static display with score
Neighborhood percentile ✓ Animated slider ✓ Static slider
AI-generated narrative ✓ Full text ✓ Full text
Building overview
Rent stabilization analysis
Landlord ownership details
Landlord portfolio insights
Public records tables ✓ Interactive, sortable ✓ Static tables
Event timeline ✓ Interactive filter ✓ Static timeline
Interactive trend chart ✓ Animated Canvas chart — Static representation
Link to share report ✓ Shareable URL ✓ Shareable URL included

The PDF is designed as a printable record — what you'd bring to a showing, email to a co-signer, or reference while negotiating. The web view is better for exploration (sorting, filtering, clicking through to details).

Sharing a report link

If you don't need a PDF, the report URL works as a shared link. Anyone with the link can view the free version of the report. To share the full premium view, the recipient needs their own credit or subscription.

To copy the report link: - Click Copy link in the report header metadata bar, or - Copy the URL directly from your browser's address bar

Excel download (Renter and Business plans)

Premium plans also include Excel (.csv) downloads of the raw data tables — violation history, complaint records, and permit data in spreadsheet format. This is useful for anyone who wants to run their own analysis, combine data across multiple buildings, or share structured data with a tenant lawyer or housing advocate.

The Excel download button appears next to the PDF button on premium reports.

Can I share a PDF with someone who doesn't have Augrented?

Yes. The PDF is a standalone file with no login requirement. You can email it, upload it to a shared folder, or print it for someone who doesn't use Augrented.

The free web view link, on the other hand, will show the free tier's limited data to anyone who opens it — even if you viewed it as a premium report.
