15 Columbia Place is a four-story, eight-unit New Law Tenement building in Brooklyn Heights, owned by Richard Lopez and constructed in 1907. The building has experienced several significant issues in recent years, most notably in 2022 when there was a substantial heat and hot water system failure affecting multiple units that required multiple complaints and resulted in violations.

More recently, in April 2023, unauthorized gas line work was discovered during an inspection, leading to multiple active violations with penalties totaling $4,000, while as of March 2025, there had been a cooking gas-related complaint that, while investigated, did not result in any housing law violations being found. The building has demonstrated some ongoing maintenance challenges, as shown by the multiple Housing Maintenance Code violations issued in 2022 requiring improved safety notices and procedures regarding smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, and gas leak responses.

There was also a period in 2022-2023 when the building failed to properly file its external low-pressure inspection reports, resulting in active violations.
