The three-story, six-unit tenement building at 231 65th Street in Sunset Park, owned by Anthony Rosvoglou and built in 1911, has experienced significant electrical infrastructure issues over the past three years. Between February and September 2024, there were multiple documented power outages and lighting problems, with at least seven separate incidents resulting in official violations that required correction by the property owner. The most recent incident occurred in January 2025 and was categorized as a power outage.

The building currently has multiple open violations from September 2024 affecting apartment 3R, including electrical service issues, missing safety devices (carbon monoxide detectors and smoke detectors), problems with window security, an air conditioner violation, and various door and window repairs needed. In addition to electrical problems, 2024 brought plumbing issues with a water supply complaint in July, though no violations were found in that instance. The building has undergone several inspections and received various complaints over the years, including a rodent inspection in 2017 which passed, and a bedbug report from 2021 showing no infestation.

Historical records from 2019 suggest there may have been concerns about illegal conversion, though access was denied during inspection attempts. More recently, in December 2024, there was a complaint about blocked egress, but again, inspection access could not be gained.
