2023-02-06T00:00:00.000Z eliminate mold/mildew on walls and ceiling 1301, 1001b11, d, 1002d, 1306 sfhc the appearance of the discoloration on the southeast stairwell walls and ceiling is consistent with mold/mildew. there is also an area in the garage of the walls where two wastelines from the building descend into the slab. this area is covered in what appears to be mold. when working on or disturbing this area the presence of mold/mildew should be assumed unless known to be otherwise (as evidenced by an independent mold report) and a qualified mold remediation contractor should employ the appropriate safe work practices. provide containment to the work area using 6 mil visquene. once containment barriers and ground protection are in place, establish a restricted work area to prevent the migration of work debris outside the work area. remove the mold/mildew and all contaminated material in an approved manner from all walls, stud bays and ceiling areas. to insure complete elimination of mold remove drywall, plaster and insulation 12" past any visible mold. drywall, plaster, prep, prime and repaint to provide a durable and cleanable surface. debris shall be double bagged and duct taped and disposed of in an approved manner. mold debris is a toxic hazard that should be secured and contained to minimize potential of migration of this hazard. interior surfaces sectionnot active
