The building, owned by David K Lau and Moon Aryong, has undergone two documented reroofing projects, one in 1993 and a more recent one in 2008 costing $9,300.

Several significant violations were recorded between 2000 and 2009, primarily related to safety and security concerns, including issues with combustible storage, missing fire safety equipment, and inadequate security features such as self-closing doors and proper locks. All these violations were addressed and abated by March 21, 2000, though a second routine inspection in 2009 identified similar fire safety concerns that were resolved by January 29, 2010.
