The property has experienced several significant maintenance and safety issues over the past few years, most notably concerning its rear decks. In November 2020, multiple complaints were filed regarding a collapsing deck that supports a fire escape, which led to a Notice of Violation (NOV) being issued in October 2021.

To address this, a building permit was issued in February 2022 for a $50,000 project to replace the rear deck at second, ground, and basement floors and convert existing cantilever decks to simply supported structures with new structural posts.
