2022-12-06T00:00:00.000Z provide engineering services 1001c4, d sfhc the concrete stairs and walk way of the building show signs of spalling and fatigue. the steel stringers and support cantilevers for the stair treads have rusted and caused the concrete to burst. the exposed wood rim joist at the top of the stairs has extensive dry rot and the one centered stringer is lagged through this rotted wood. the garage walls and ceiling at the west side have signs of water damage, especially around the window. this appears to be water drawn in from cantilevered floor joists that are part of the concrete walkway for the second floor. to insure the safety of the residents of this and the adjacent building the property owner is to secure the services of a civil/structural engineer to provide structural analysis of the configuration and repair of this assembly. a performance based corrective report shall be included in the building permit application package for the repair of these stairs and walkway and any other in similar disrepair. building sectionnot active
