2632 Larkin Street is a four-story, 8-unit multi-family residential building constructed in 1922, located in the Russian Hill neighborhood and currently owned by Chuk W & Margreta C Kwan Fm. The building underwent a mandatory seismic retrofit of its soft-story structure, with work beginning in 2017 and continuing through multiple permit revisions in 2020 and 2021. The retrofit project, which cost approximately $100,000, was ultimately completed and received its Certificate of Final Completion (CFC).

More recently, in October 2023, electrical work was completed to relocate a junction box for PG&E meter relocation. The building has a history of maintenance and safety-related issues, particularly evident in 2014 when multiple violations were recorded, including problems with electrical stoves, heating systems, fire escape ladders, carbon monoxide detectors, and security features, all of which were abated by May 20, 2014. Prior to these violations, there were various maintenance concerns documented in the 1990s and 2000s, including leaks, wall damage, and a boiler permit issue.

The building experienced plumbing work in 2018 involving the replacement of a backflow preventer, and has undergone several routine inspections over the years. While there have been numerous 311 calls related to the property and its vicinity since 2015, most of these were for external issues such as street cleaning and graffiti, with the building's own plumbing and sewer issues being addressed through appropriate channels. A significant sewer-related incident was documented in October 2015, and there were two fire-related incidents recorded, though neither involved civilian injuries and one was determined to be a natural occurrence.
