2024-05-15T00:00:00.000Z provide weather protection 703, 1001d, h3, 1301 sfhc the street facing elevations of the building facing north and east have blistered, peeling and blemished paint. the west side over the small driveway is also blistered. in observing the rest of the building most of the wood trim is in need of paint and repairs. obtain the services of a certified lead abatement contractor. this structure at 1207 chestnut street.is a pre-1978 building and so this paint debris is presumed to contain lead. to work without lead abatement protocols, provide certification from a qualified lead testing laboratory to show the debris has no lead base. otherwise, obtain the services of a certified lead abatement contractor. comply with the balance of this notice of violation. remove and repair or replace any dry-rotted siding or trim. stabilize, prep, prime and paint the peeling areas of the exterior of the structure, where necessary to provide a weather tight building envelope. your contractor is to follow the established protocol, as outlined, to strip and or/stabilize the peeling paint on your building. you are not required to paint the entire exterior of this structure. you are required to treat all damaged, blistered or peeling paint. the department of public health lead abatement certification list: https://www.cdph.ca.gov/programs/ccdphp/deodc/clppb/pages/certlistsf.aspx all contractors, including but not limited to carpenters, plumbers, electricians, plasterers and painters who disturb lead paint while working on a pre-1978 structure must be lead safe certified effective april 2010. building sectionactive
