The building has experienced several maintenance and safety issues over its recent history. Most notably, in late 2021, there were significant complaints about no heat, water damage including leaks, electrical problems with non-working outlets, and bathroom mold - though these issues were subsequently marked as not active. In 2011, there was a concerning incident involving the landlord allegedly storing garbage in the backyard, creating fire hazards and unpleasant odors, which was resolved within a month.
