Most recently, in late 2019 through early 2020, there were multiple concerning complaints about the building's condition, including reports of no heating, hazardous electrical wiring, dangerous exterior stairs, a cracked furnace, unsecured water heater, and pest issues (invasive ants). These complaints led to several building code violations, including problems with door repairs, electrical conduit issues, a vent requiring repair, and concerns about lead paint hazards, with one violation specifically citing the need to follow San Francisco lead ordinance regulations.

While a plumbing permit for installing a double-sided wall furnace was completed in 2012, this appears to be only a partial solution to the heating issues documented.
