Initial analysis

547 Dolores Street is a 6-unit, 3-story multi-family residential building constructed in 1922, currently managed by Anna W Papoulias. The property has undergone several significant improvements and faced various maintenance challenges over the years. Recent complaints from 2023 highlight persistent general maintenance issues, while earlier concerns from 2022 involved surveillance camera installations that raised residents' privacy concerns. The building completed its mandatory soft-story retrofit in 2015 at a cost of $55,000, and has addressed various infrastructure needs including reroofing projects in 2015 and 1991, security system upgrades, and electrical improvements.

The property has experienced multiple maintenance and safety issues in recent years, particularly in 2019-2020, including concerns about lead paint remediation, water leaks, and plumbing problems. Building violations from 2016-2019 required attention to handrails, fire alarm systems, window repairs, and security features. More recent complaints in 2023 suggest ongoing maintenance challenges, though some previously noted issues, such as concerns about illegal units and pest problems, have been marked as resolved. Historical records show fire safety violations in 2011 related to exit pathways and alarm systems, which were subsequently addressed.
