Initial analysis

The property at 1466-1468 Dolores Street is a two-unit, two-story multi-family residential building constructed in 1929 in Noe Valley. The building has undergone several significant renovations and maintenance projects over the years, with the most recent major work occurring in 2022-2024. A substantial interior remodel project was initiated in 2022 with a budget of $300,000, including work on both floors, though a revision in 2024 reduced the scope to focus on the second floor kitchen and bathroom modifications. The building experienced a notable incident in April 2020, when unauthorized roofing work was performed during the COVID-19 shelter-in-place period, leading to multiple complaints about safety and social distancing violations. This situation resulted in a building violation that was ultimately abated in October 2021. The property's maintenance history shows regular upkeep, with roofing work completed in 2020 (following the permit violation), and plumbing and electrical improvements including a wall heater replacement in 2021 and conversion to underground electrical service in 2004.

Recent issues have included a sewage backup incident from a side vent in September 2024, and multiple parking-related complaints in the vicinity of the property throughout 2022-2024. The building underwent significant changes in occupancy in 2021, with a tenant buyout of $75,000 involving three tenants at 1466 Dolores Street, though there are no records of buyouts at 1468 Dolores Street. The property maintains two dwelling units and features a mix of original architectural elements and modern improvements, though recent permits indicate careful attention to preserving the building's historical character while updating its amenities.

The site at 1466-1468 dolores street has been under construction for nearly 2 years. we have tried to be good neighbors and ignore it, but the constant noise, well in excess of 80 decibels, has been going on nonstop for too long. most of the noise comes from cutting/sawing wooden boards. we'd like to ask the construction team to move that work offsite and do it outside of a residential neighborhood so there isn't extremely loud noise all day long. the team does comply with the timing regulations and is only active during approved construction hours, but it means the loud grinding and sawing noises go on all day, 6 days a week, often waking us up in the morning and making it hard to work during the day. please ask the team doing the work at 1466-1468 dolores street to move their noise-generating work offsite and only come on to the site for work that must be done there. we don't want to get in the way of their construction project but we'd like them to be considerate of the neighbors th
