2024-05-21T00:00:00.000Z building permit required (301 hc) on the date of inspection there was a mold remediation taking place at this address. drywall was removed 4 feet up from the floor on most of the walls in the first floor of the unit. additional walls and ceiling areas were undergoing the same demolition and mold remediation on this and the second floor. permit research reveals that there were no valid building permits for this work. section 106a.2 of the san francisco building code details work exempt from permit. item 10 states minor repairs to existing interior plaster or wall board, except when a part of a fire resistive assembly. section 601 of the san francisco housing code states: wood framed buildings three stories or more in height, constructed, altered or converted for use as an apartment house or hotel after september 1, 1947 shall be constructed of materials providing the entire building with a fire resistive rating of one hour. you are required to obtain a building permit to correct this violation. when applying for a building permit, reference the complaint number from this notice of violation. the building inspector must perform periodic and final inspections and sign the job card before the housing division can abate this violation. present the signed job card indicating that work is complete to the housing inspector on the date of re-inspection. building sectionnot active
