The building's permit history reveals several significant modifications in the late 1980s, including a completed alteration project in February 1989, a change to the sprinkler system design in April 1989, and an earlier attempted vertical and horizontal extension project in 1987, though the last of these permits expired without completion.

In recent years, particularly in 2023-2024, there has been a notable pattern of parking-related issues in the vicinity of the building, with multiple reports of abandoned vehicles and illegal parking incidents. Between October 2023 and July 2024, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) received at least ten complaints regarding abandoned vehicles, including five specific reports of pickup trucks and one incident involving a Lexus sedan parked on the sidewalk, which resulted in a citation.
