(703 & 1301 sfhc) the front of this building that is visible from the street elevation, the paint around the wood siding along the left side amd front trims has weathered, blistered and peeled to a level that undermines the weather proofing of the structure and presents a lead paint hazard. this structure at 1660-1662 newcomb av is a pre-1979 building and so this paint debris is presumed to contain lead. you are not required to paint the entire exterior of this structure. you are required to treat all damaged, blistered or peeling paint. obtain the services of a licensed contractor with rrp certification . your contractor is to follow the established protocol, as outlined, remove and repair or replace any dry rotted siding or trim. stabilize, prep, prime and paint the peeling areas of the structure. if siding is to be replaced a building permit and corresponding inspections for sign-off is required. see attached lead hazard warning. provide notification to residents 1001d, k sfhc, 327.5.6 sfebc provide signage during work 1001d, k sfhc , 327.5.4 sfebc restrict access to the work area 1001d, k sfhc , 327.4.1 sfebc provide containment and barrier systems 1001d, k sfhc , 327.4.2 sfebc protect the ground from debris 1001d, k sfhc , 327.4.2.1 sfebc prevent migration of debris 1001d, k sfhc, 327.4.3 sfebc provide weather protection 703, 1001d, h3, 1301 sfhc follow exterior clean up standards each day 1001d, k sfhc, 327.4.4.2 sfebc these standards are established protocol. deviation from these standards will result in an additional notice of violation and potentially administrative penalties of up to $500 per day per violation and fees to cover the city's costs to enforcement of administrative penalties. building sectionactive
